Our hospitality strategy identifies unique properties that are under-utilized and works to curate boutique lodging and F&B concepts that rival those found in major markets. Each of our hospitality projects are selected with an eye towards offering experiences, environments, and amenities that are not otherwise available in a given project’s market.     

Our hospitality management affiliate is Fernhaus Studio. Formed to redefine and elevate Northern Michigan’s hospitality offerings, Fernhaus Studio believes in taking care of its guests on the highest level and curating memorable experiences. From first impressions to the finest details, Fernhaus Studio offers a relaxed and refined atmosphere for discerning guests through integration of high design, community, and wellbeing principles.

Our workforce housing strategy delivers quality housing in the form of apartment rentals and manufactured housing communities. Our projects are designed to address a clear demand for housing and the economic effects of inadequate housing supply. This strategy routinely involves partnering with regional developers and local governments to structure tax-advantaged transactions benefiting our investors.

Our multifamily property management affiliate is Manitou Communities. With a focus on revitalizing under-managed and under-occupied properties, Manitou Communities provides safe and desirable workforce housing through partnerships with local employers.
